Senior SDR

Primary Objective

Own the full sales cycle from discovery through closing, while driving revenue, improving outbound effectiveness, and mentoring Junior SDRs.
Senior SDR is responsible for revenue generation, deal ownership, and outbound strategy execution.

1. Full Sales Cycle Ownership (Core Responsibility)

  • Own qualified opportunities from discovery through closing.
  • Conduct discovery calls with qualified prospects.
  • Diagnose prospect challenges and assess buying readiness.
  • Present Hajana’s solution aligned with prospect needs.
  • Manage deal progression through all stages until close.
  • Convert qualified opportunities into paying customers.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR owns revenue generation and deal outcomes.

2. Discovery & Sales Conversations

  • Conduct structured, in-depth discovery calls with decision-makers.
  • Diagnose pipeline gaps, outbound challenges, and growth blockers.
  • Present solution positioning aligned to prospect needs.
  • Handle objections, stakeholder concerns, and buying hesitations.
  • Assess decision process, timeline, and buying authority.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR owns diagnostic discovery and solution conversations.

3. Deal Management & Closing

  • Manage follow-ups throughout the decision cycle.
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement until deal closure.
  • Handle pricing discussions and closing conversations.
  • Ensure smooth transition to onboarding after closing.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR fully owns deal progression and closing.

4. Advanced Outbound Execution

  • Execute strategic outbound prospecting alongside Junior SDR efforts.
  • Engage high-value or strategic accounts directly when needed.
  • Optimize outreach messaging based on real-time feedback.
  • Improve conversion rates across outreach and discovery stages.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR focuses on strategic outbound effectiveness, not high-volume outreach.

5. Pipeline & Revenue Ownership

  • Maintain predictable opportunity flow aligned with revenue targets.
  • Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, and deal velocity.
  • Identify pipeline gaps and proactively address them.
  • Forecast pipeline and expected deal closures.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR owns revenue pipeline performance.

6. Junior SDR Mentorship & Development

  • Coach Junior SDRs on:
    • Cold calling effectiveness
    • Qualification quality
    • Messaging improvements
  • Review Junior SDR conversations and provide feedback.
  • Help develop repeatable outbound best practices.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR develops team capability but does not perform Junior SDR outreach tasks.

7. Sales Strategy & Process Contribution

  • Provide insights to improve ICP targeting and messaging.
  • Help refine outreach strategies and outbound systems.
  • Contribute to GTM experiments and campaign optimization.
  • Recommend improvements to increase conversion and efficiency.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR contributes to sales strategy improvement.

8. Pipeline & CRM Ownership

  • Maintain accurate CRM pipeline stages and deal tracking.
  • Monitor opportunity progress and engagement status.
  • Track metrics across discovery → closing stages.
  • Identify and resolve pipeline bottlenecks.
Ownership boundary:
Senior SDR owns opportunity-level CRM management.

9. Cross-Functional & Revenue Contribution

  • Collaborate with leadership on revenue initiatives.
  • Support onboarding transition after closing deals.
  • Contribute to scaling sales processes and systems.
  • Take ownership of strategic revenue initiatives when required.
