The Tech Under the Hood: Model Context Protocol (MCP)

To understand why this integration is seamless, you have to look at how systems talk to each other. Historically, connecting AI to business tools required building fragile, custom API integrations.

These new extensions are powered by Anthropic’s MCP Apps, an open standard designed to securely connect AI systems to external tools and data sources. Think of it like a universal USB-C port for enterprise AI.

Instead of relying on fragile data bridges, Claude can natively reference, display, and interact with complex environments like Agentforce 360 and Slack.
