SAN FRANCISCO - Dreamforce 2026 - At Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce and NVIDIA announced the unveiling of Koa, Salesforce’s first purpose-built CRM reasoning model engineered specifically for Agentforce.
Developed by post-training NVIDIA’s Nemotron 3 Super on synthetic datasets reflecting nearly three decades of Salesforce enterprise intelligence, Koa introduces a domain-specific intelligence layer to enterprise automation - enabling autonomous agents to reason through complex, multi-step business workflows while maintaining strict data trust boundaries.
"The most valuable thing Salesforce has built isn't our platform—it's the accumulated knowledge of how enterprise business actually works. With Koa, that knowledge is put inside the model itself. We trained a reasoning engine that understands the structure of a deal, the lifecycle of a service case, and the workflows that vary across industries. That's a different kind of intelligence, and it runs entirely inside your trust boundary."
— Marc Benioff, Chair & CEO, Salesforce

Why Domain-Specific Reasoning Matters for Enterprise AI

While general-purpose foundation models excel at broad conversational tasks, traditional LLMs frequently struggle with the granular mechanics of complex business systems. Enterprise workflows require deterministic compliance, industry-specific logic, and multi-step execution across connected databases.
Koa addresses this gap by embedding CRM domain expertise directly into the reasoning engine:
  • 3x Fewer Errors on CRM Actions: On standard enterprise CRM benchmarks, Koa matches or outperforms leading general-purpose frontier models on core tasks - such as opportunity updates, case routing, and pipeline execution - while producing three times fewer execution errors.
  • Synthetic Training Architecture: To maintain absolute data privacy, zero customer data was used in Koa's training corpus. Instead, the model was trained using advanced synthetic scenarios across more than 14 major industries - including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.
  • Advanced Post-Training: Built in collaboration with NVIDIA, Koa was optimized using Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning with Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) via NVIDIA NeMo RL, NeMo Gym, and NeMo AutoModel.

Security & Trust: Inference Inside Your Trust Boundary

A critical consideration for enterprise architects deploying autonomous agents is data governance and security.

Salesforce controls the model weights and executes both post-training and inference entirely within its own infrastructure. This guarantees that enterprise context and operational data never cross external trust boundaries or get exposed to public training sets during model execution.

Expanding Strategic AI Integrations

The introduction of Koa builds directly upon Salesforce's broader ecosystem expansion showcased at Dreamforce 2026, including:
  1. Claudeforce Expansion: Deeper integration between Anthropic's Claude AI and Salesforce Agentforce to bring reasoning over CRM context directly into user interfaces.
  2. Model Context Protocol (MCP) Support: Connecting autonomous agents to custom external databases and microservices using Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards without re-architecting underlying security schemas.
  3. Missionforce for Regulated Workloads: Extending Nemotron-based post-trained models to sovereign clouds, classified environments, and air-gapped infrastructure for government and highly regulated sectors.
